Craigslist Flag My Ass!

Seriously Craigslist, WTF?  Why the rejection?

My friend is moving and I have been trying to help her sell some stuff.  We know this is an old school television, but she is only asking $50.

Sony KP 43T70 – 43″ Rear Projection TV with a Stand
TV is in perfect working order and looks great!

Diagonal size 43 inches.
  • Dual color filter system
  • 3-line digital comb filter
  • 2-tuner picture-in-picture (PIP)
  • 30 watts audio power, 2 speakers
  • 2 rear, 1 front S-video input, regular A/V inputs and component inputs
  • Channel Label, On Screen Menu, Multi-Language Menu, Sleep Timer, Closed Caption, Parental Lock, V-Chip
Beat me, Whip me, Flag Me!

So does someone not like old rear projection TVs?  Are they selling one too and don’t want the competition?  Is there a Craigslist Terms Of Use violation that I’m missing?  Maybe Mister Craig List doesn’t like TVs?

He has sent me this love note 3 times now:

No Craigslist, the only thing I understand is that there are some crazies who have nothing better to do than flag anything that anyone posts.  And your system lets them do it and does not seem to penalize them for the abuse.

You know that TV really doesn’t look that bad, maybe I’ll give her $50 and stick it in my spare bedroom!

The other day I tried to post on craigslist and it said, “we need a phone number.”

So I put my phone number in and they verified me.

Then they never posted my ad, it was “ghosted.”

So Craiglist if you weren’t going to post my ad anyway, WHY DID YOU TAKE MY PHONE NUMBER?

Now I am locked out of using the phone number somewhere else for 90 days?

Craislist has gotten too big and too arrogant. They need to be knocked down.

So does someone not like old rear projection TVs?

probably. it is obsolete (need to buy crap to hook upto

Are they selling one too and don’t want the competition?

-maybe … doubtful tho , the advertisement is not stating its old and incompatible

Is there a Craigslist Terms Of Use violation that I’m missing?

yea you didnt offer it for free haha

Maybe Mister Craig List doesn’t like TVs?

maybe mr Craigs List has YOUTUBE

sorry but its junk. push it to the curb

    or advertise more accurately

there is no digital tv tuner so its obsolete (unless you are cable subscriber)

some people just dont know or dont wanna know and if they buy this crap itll be at the curb again soon.

    1. lol! All good guesses. 😉

      Thanks Troy!

You’ve gotta love assholes like “Troy”, who try to tell you what’s junk and what isn’t. So, because you can’t watch regular, over-the-air TV on it without a tuner it’s crap? What if I just wanted to use it for gaming, or with my HTPC. It’s cunts like Troy who flag posts just because they don’t think it’s anything of worth.

Troy was right. And you’re… one of those people. Just started reading some posts on your blog. This one is admittedly not among my favorites but no matter. Put an Apple sticker on it and sell it for $280 with some kind of retro-cool marketing speak and graphics that have nothing to do with televisions. Call the remote “ergonomic,” and state that the device infuses classic decor with modern sensibilities. Or… shit this post is old. Forget all that–did it sell or what?

  1. Too bad!

I post ads regularly on numerous classifieds and I’ve been very good at it for a long time.

But over the last year or so with all the changes Craigslist has made I was really struggling with the “Gran Daddy of ’em all”

But it all got turned around when a good friend of mine introduced me to this cutting edge method to conquer frequent flagging and ghosting on Craigslist.

I’m so glad I listened to her. Now I have my Craigslist posting mojo back! My ads are mostly all live and the leads are flowing in again.

    Ask me how!
