When Spambots are Extra Nasty!

Bookmark and Share

Last July I wrote this fine article about the Spambots.  And if you haven’t read it, or don’t know what Spambots are, you should check it out!  But in a nutshell, Spambots are computer robots that post worthless, fake messages to a blog, website or message board.  They pretend to be real people, but are really just trying to get links to their CRAP on a website.

Spambots are a Fucking Nuisance because they clutter up sites with a bunch of SHIT that nobody wants to see, and it takes a lot of time to sort through the garbage that they’re posting in order to find real comments from people.

But as I wrote in July, sometimes it seems like Spambots are better than nothing when they contain messages like, “You good stuff blog will come again” or “Fantastic ever best!!!” etc.   Even though the comments are poorly written and generic, most of them provide positive affirmations that are nice.

But what I’d like to address today are the FUCKING EXCUSES FOR SKIN WHO SHOULD BE KILLED that have the DAMNED BALLS to post a Spambot comment criticizing the writing, layout or technical health of a site.  It’s not enough that they’re spamming and trying to victimize a site with WORTHLESS CRAP, but they go the extra step of writing comments (that they’re sending to everyone) that suggest a site is doing something wrong!

I’ve pulled some examples that I’m going to share below.  And in case you think I’m just a thin-skinned-bitch, let me assure you that every single one of these was SPAM.  They were all linking to cheap imitation handbags, Russian dating or some other Fucking Shit that nobody wants to see.

you really should try some social signals to boost your blog…

This is a message to the webmaster. I discovered your page via Google but it was hard to find as you were not on the first page of search results. I know you could have more traffic to your site.

I think there may perhaps be a couple duplicates, but an exceedingly helpful record! I’ve tweeted this. Numerous thanks for sharing!…

I’m now not certain where you’re getting your information, I needs to spend some time finding out much more or figuring out more.

I thought it was getting boring, friend.  ll add you back to my everyday bloglist if it gets better.

The very heart of your writing whilst appearing agreeable initially, did not really work properly with me after some time. Somewhere within the paragraphs you were able to make me a believer unfortunately only for a very short while. I however have got a problem with your jumps in logic and one would do nicely to fill in all those breaks. If you can accomplish that, I would certainly end up being impressed.

website can be improved.

i’m sorry but i think you should improve the organization of the website.

I’m not sure exactly why but this website is loading extremely slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it a issue on my end? I’ll check back later on and see if the problem still exists.

I think that you just can do with some % to pressure the message home a bit, however other than that, this is great blog. A fantastic read. I’ll certainly be back.

On a 1500 word article with NO fucking video: Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You clearly know what youre talking about, why waste your intelligence on just posting videos to your site when you could be giving us someth…aybe if you write more about this subject, i will understand it clearer.

maybe if you write more about this subject, i will understand it clearer.

some problem excists in your single.php ,when the title is too long,it will malposition.

Heya just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading properly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same results…

My open letter to the Spammers, reads, “If you want to advertise on my site, why don’t you pay me?  Maybe we can work something out!  Please don’t try to trick me and steal free advertising space.”

My open letter to the Nasty Spammers is, “I HOPE PARASITES EAT YOU FROM THE INSIDE OUT AND THAT YOU ROT AWAY SLOWLY IN PAIN AND THEN GO TO HELL!”

Thank you all for the kind messages while I was on vacation; I missed ya’ll too!

Cop Thomas Griffin Got Away with Murdering Cisco the Dog

Bookmark and Share

It’s been almost a year since Austin Police Department Cop murdered the gentle 50 pound Australian Cattle Dog named Cisco.  The outrage is over, the news stories have stopped, the Facebook page is silent, the Justice for Cisco website is “under construction” and the authorities have declared that Thomas Griffin and the APD will suffer no consequences at all for Grffin’s unconscionable behavior.

Thomas Griffin faced no criminal charges and no civil liability and he is free to murder again.  He didn’t even have to stand trial.

If you missed the story (or have forgotten it), I can summarize it for you with 100% accuracy because the 911 recording and the police dash-cam video of the murder leave nothing to speculation.  I’ve included the links below so you check them out too.

On April 14, 2012 a busybody named Tiffany was driving around and called 911 to report an Unarmed Hispanic male with salt and pepper hair in a navy shirt was “coming after” his girlfriend.  Tiffany got bored less than a minute into the call and hung up, but then 911 called her back and by then she couldn’t be bothered to give them the correct address.

Cop Thomas Griffin showed up (at the wrong house) and when Michael Paxton, a white male, with dark hair in a white shirt came out, Griffin  pulled a gun on him and ordered him to show his hands.   Two seconds after he ordered Paxton to “show his hands” he then yelled “Get your dog,” and 1/4th of a second later he shot and killed Cisco.  Cisco was did not jump at him or touch him at all.

Before we continue, I want to make it VERY FUCKING CLEAR that when I wrote, “two seconds after he ordered Paxton to show his hands” I meant TWO FUCKING SECONDS.  And when I said “1/4th of a second after he yelled, ‘Get your dog’ he shot Cisco, I meant that too.  Watch the video from the dash-cam (below) and you’ll see that  at 14 seconds he yells, “Show me your hands” and at 16 seconds he yells “Get your dog!” and 1/4th of a second after that he murders Cisco.  I am not exaggerating.  He gave Paxton 1/4th of a second to comply with his conflicting orders before murdering the man’s dog.

ONE FOURTH OF A FUCKING SECOND.  Probably less time than it took you to read it.  This was 17 seconds after he pulled up to the house!

To sum is up, the cop was at the wrong address,  completely forgot the description of the suspect, drew his gun on an unarmed man who was complying with his commands, and then shot his non-threatening dog 1/4th of a second after commanding the man (who he’d just told less than 2 seconds earlier to show his hands) to “Get your dog!”

But it got worse.  Then Thomas Griffin berated Paxton and shouted at him that it was his fault it happened, because he should have had his dog on a leash.  Cisco was IN HIS FUCKING BACKYARD AT HIS HOUSE!!!

When Grffin’s supervisor arrived he lied about the events; he said he had been going door to door listening (when he actually killed Cisco 17 seconds after he pulled up) and told her the dog was lunging at him and was going to bite him.  And several times he referred to shooting Cisco as “popping” him, showing absolutely no remorse or respect.  The guy is incompetent, brutal, stupid and an asshole.

So what’s the bottom line today, 10 months later?  The public has forgotten, the corrupt Austin Police Department let it drop, and the justice system completely failed Cisco.  It’s over.  There were no consequences for the cop or the police.  Nothing will change at all.

So if you live in Austin Texas (and likely some other jurisdictions too), think about how the police can come to your home and kill your pets at any time.   Hell, they may even send Thomas Griffin to do it.   And a year later, nobody will even remember or care.

No Justice for Cisco.

The Difference Between Intuit Turbo Tax Free versus Freedom versus Deluxe

Bookmark and Share

As my public service for the year, I’m going to explain these Intuit Turbo Tax products and the difference between them.

Turbo Tax Free is helpful to idiots who are too stupid to fill out a 1040EZ by themselves and don’t realize it takes only 5 minutes.  Its entire purpose is to trick suckers into buying other things that cost a lot of money, like the Deluxe, Premier, Home and Business, electronic filing,, audit defense, etc.   Most people who start out using Turbo Tax “Free” are going to end up paying for at least $50 worth of crap before they’re done.  Many will wind up paying much more than that.

Now I’ll explain Freedom.  For the last few years the Federal Government (that means the US taxpayers) have been subsidizing tax preparation software so that people can file for free.  There is a list of products at http://www.freefile.irs.gov/ and these are actually free.  More than 70% of tax payers qualify to use this program, including people with businesses and more complex taxes like the type Turbo Tax Deluxe or Home and Business would cover.   You can read more about the qualifications at the IRS link.  To get a piece of this pie, Intuit launched Turbo Tax Freedom, with the purposely similar name to Turbo Tax Free, so they could still hook some people with that scam as people looking for Freedom wind up with Free.

Intuit was worried they’d lose existing paid customers to the Freedom program, since it’s the same thing (they say it’s an entirely different program in order to justify what I’m about to explain, but it’s the same backbone) so they do some pretty nasty things to treat you like Shit if you’ve been a Turbo Tax customer before and want to use Freedom.

First, Turbo Tax immediately warns you that everything you’ve ever done with Turbo Tax is gone.  Not just the recent return that you may have spent hours to input, but last year’s return too.  If you’re going to use Freedom, they are going to penalize you by making you start over as if you’ve never spent a second of tax preparation time with any of their programs.  And if you start with Free they trash everything you’ve done if you want to switch to Freedom too.

There are some little ways they’ve neutered the program, like not allowing you to import W2 forms and 1099 forms, etc.  But this isn’t a huge deal.  This is really the only difference between Freedom and paid, except you get more  “support” with Deluxe, (but I will explain why that doesn’t matter in a moment)

They also made Freedom nearly impossible to find except from the irs.gov link.  Second, it was “unavailable” for weeks after it was promised, and even after it was finally released, they programmed it so many people’s browsers still made it appear like it was offline in order to steer them towards their other paid products..

Freedom is the same bottom line as the paid programs with the same forms, and the  same end results.

I’ve used Turbo Tax for years and the programs are buggy and inaccurate.  The support is an absolute joke.  They advertise that you’re going to get help from “tax professionals” like CPAs but when you call for help you’re actually getting part-time independent contractors who work from home who have absolutely no real tax experience.  These schmucks have trained for about a month and work through a company named Arise, not for Intuit.  They can’t navigate the programs or answer any tax questions.   I don’t feel good about giving my financial information to some naked guy sitting at his kitchen table  who is writing my social security number and bank account information on a napkin.

The bottom line is if you’ve never used any Turbo Tax products, stay away from them!  If you’ve used a Turbo Tax paid program last year and don’t want too much of a hassle, and don’t think you’ll need support, use it again.  If you’re desperate to save a few dollars and don’t mind starting over from scratch, then use the IRS link above to find the secret path to Freedom and try it out.  And, don’t use Turbo Tax Free for any reason.

I hope this helps, it caused me a lot of pain to figure this all out!

USPS Sucks, So Let Them Charge More!

Bookmark and Share
USPS jacked up the postal rates again this week, while they’re providing the worst mail service I’ve ever experienced in my life.  It makes sense though, John Donahoe (head of Ebay) has destroyed that company and Patrick Donahoe, the Postmaster General is killing the country’s mail system.  I think they’re Brothers.

It’s Bullshit that each time the rates go up, the big story is that the First Class stamp is up a couple more pennies, but meanwhile the cost of sending packages silently goes up 30% and the media never mentions it.  Even if you don’t ship a lot of things these crazy-ass-postage increases drive up the price of everything.

Last Saturday, my mail was left on my porch, and when I asked the carrier why, she said, “we were told if it is slushy not to climb steps.”  Really?  If my porch is has slush on it, the carrier is directed to throw my mail into the slush?  It’s not so much that I believe she was told this (though maybe she was!) but I’m more troubled that there would be someone handling my mail who is so lazy and stupid that she’d actually do that and then make up a ridiculous excuse like that.

Haven't seen one of these for years!

My porch was dry and the dog and I went running about an hour after the mail.  There was no “slush” anywhere.

Then on Monday morning (before I went to work), the carrier left me a notice that I’d missed being there for a package, even though I was there.  And she delivered my neighbor’s outgoing and incoming mail to my box.   Yes, she was so incompetent that she took mail my neighbor left to be mailed and delivered it to me instead.

Meanwhile there’s a package I’m waiting for from out of the country, and I can go to http://www.track-trace.com/post and see movement on it in the originating country, but for the last 10 days all usps.com says is “Origin Post is Preparing Shipment.”  I called and spoke to a moron who told me that there is no way they can give me an estimate of how long it should take, any additional information, or even tell me if 10 days of no updates is normal.

They’re talking about expanding into same day delivery of mail in some markets, while they can’t even do basic mail delivery.

USPS services are way overpriced and UPS, FedEx and other companies would do a much better job of it if the USPS goes down.  They can’t possibly do it worse.

Crazy, Stupid, Irresponsible Bitch Sues Match.com

There are some Creepy people on the dating sites, and I’ve met my fair share of them.  It’s always a good idea to treat every stranger like a potential ax murderer until you get to know them.

I take rape seriously, so hearing about a woman who made all the wrong choices, and then claims to be a blindsided victim, really works me up.  There are a lot of women who are raped when they couldn’t have done anything about it, and stories like this diminish the credibility of real victims.

“Jane Doe” alleges she was sexually attacked by Alan Wurtzel and is blaming Match.com because they don’t do background checks on every member.  Here’s a link to the story: http://abcnews.go.com/US/woman-sues-match-sex-assault/story?id=13378401

Actual Picture of the Idiotic "Jane Doe"

Jane, “wants to remain anonymous,”  but it’s OK for Wurtzel (who has not been convicted of attacking Jane) to be all over the National news.  And it’s also OK for Match.com to be similarly attacked.  Meanwhile, Jane is allowed to stay hidden, even though she was 100% responsible for it all!  WTF???

When you see a stranger in person that you “met” on a dating site, on Craigslist, on a chat board, or any-fucking-elsewhere online, you must assume the worst.  You meet in public and you don’t take them home on your 2nd date unless you’re a whore.   You must get to know someone before you go anywhere privately with them.

This self-described, “sophisticated Ivy League graduate who works in film and television” couldn’t possibly be stupid enough to think that everyone on Match.com had background checks done, especially since she didn’t agree to have one done on herself.  If it were so Fucking important to her that she thinks 10 million Match.com members should be required to have background checks, then why didn’t she spend $5 at one of the online services to do one on this guy before she invited him back to her home?

This woman is bereft of personal responsibility, and now she’s going to become a Millionaire because of it.

And after his Oprah interview this week, enough people are saying this about him, and worse, so I don’t have to jump on that cart today.

He is a cheat and a crook, and everyone knows it.

But I would like to turn attention again to my post from a couple of months ago, because it is even more important to remember the “2nd place” winners now.

When is Oprah going to have them on her show?
